Covid Advice for Young People

Covid Advice

All young people between the ages of 12 and 15 will now be offered a Covid-19 vaccination. Currently the vaccine licensed for children and young people is the Pfizer vaccine. This is the one that you will be given. You will be offered 2 doses of vaccine as part of the school-based COVID-19 vaccination programme.

However If you are feeling anxious  about having the Covid Vaccine, want to know what the latest guidelines are or generally want to find out more about vaccines for young people, there’s lots of information out there that can answer questions you may have. This could be around possible side effects, where can I get the vaccine, how can I speak to my parents about the vaccine or how will it protect me. Click through any of the links below to access the information.

You can also ask for help in school from your School nurse through Chat Health. This is a text service where you can talk confidentially and openly to a School Nurse about issues you may be having from worries about Covid, staying healthy, anxiety or social media issues.
